What I Mean by a Small Win
When I talk about a small win, I’m not talking about a big breakthrough or a perfectly executed plan.
I’m talking about the tiny choices we make on regular, imperfect days.
A small win might be getting outside for a short walk when you don’t feel motivated. It might be choosing one healthy meal instead of giving up on the day entirely. Sometimes it’s simply pausing, taking a breath, and deciding not to be so hard on yourself.
For a long time, I thought progress had to look dramatic to count. If I couldn’t do something “all the way,” I felt like I’d failed. What I’ve learned—often the hard way—is that small wins are what actually move life forward. They build confidence. They create momentum. And they add up in ways you don’t notice until you look back.
Around here, small wins are how we keep going when life is busy, complicated, and far from perfect.
